Phoenix Exodus

"And a Child Shall Lead Them"

For the last ever party at the Pelvis Space in the Phoenix Building in downtown Birmingham, Jonathan Purvis invited several artists to install work in each room of his loft. AC Temple residents Jasper, Lance, Bryan and Kathleen collaborated on an installation in one of the rooms and the result came to be known as “The Phoenix Exodus”. Because the first Psychic Doom Children coloring contest had occurred at the Pelvis Space a little more than a year previously, it seemed appropriate to incorporate another coloring event into the final party for the place.
The drawing was inspired by The Children of the Corn and was colored in during the party and added to little by little over the next few months by various people including: Burke Miles, Charles Amos Horn, Jonathan Purvis, Cheryl Rice, Kathleen Hairston, Bradley Bailey, Rodney, Jasper and others.
